Vien Nguyen

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Clinical Director

 

Vien Nguyen is serving as the clinical director of Azusa Physical Therapy Associates. Vien received his undergraduate education at UC Davis where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. He then went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Mount St. Mary’s College. He has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting as well as pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, and also has acute inpatient experience.He is originally from Northern California but loves living in the Los Angeles area. Vien is an avid sports fanatic while he enjoys watching and playing football, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, and many other sports. He thrives to further his development as a clinician and plans to pursue a certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (O.C.S.) and also hopes to be more involved in teaching in the future.

Derrick Sueki
Doctor of Physical Therapy
 
Derrick Sueki graduated from the University of Southern California receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  He completed the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Physical Therapy at the University of South Australia with a special emphasis in Manipulative Therapy and Pain Mechanisms.  Since 1999, he has been a primary instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Mount Saint Mary’s University and is the program director at Azusa Pacific University.  Dr. Sueki is a chief editor of two orthopedic textbooks, Orthopedic Rehabilitation Clinical Advisor and the Orthopedic Physical Assessment Atlas and Video.  In addition, he has authored and contributed to numerous chapters in orthopedic and rehabilitiation texts.  Dr. Sueki is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and  is a noted leader, author, researcher, and expert in the field of chronic pain and the pain sciences.
